JumpRun! 5 Product Features
The lengthy feature list for JumpRun! is available below. But before
you start perusing the feature list, you probably have a few general questions.
This software suite can be run on a single computer. Most small drop zones
have only one computer, if any at all, so we are duty-bound to provide a
solution that can be run on a single computer. We provide a royalty-free version
of SQL Server so you do not have to pay an additional price for that.
It can also run on a network where there is a database server and many
workstations. If you intend to have more than 3 to 5 workstations using the
database at the same time, you should consider purchasing the standard edition
SQL Server. SQL Server standard edition is more upward scalable so you can run
it on a computer with two or more processors to realize faster throughput at a
large drop zone with many workstations. At this point, there are only a handful
of drop zones that warrant this level of computing power.
All of the programs have context-sensitive help so whenever you have a
question about something you can press the F1 key to view the applicable
documentation.
You can create more than one JumpRun! database. This allows you to
have a database for training staff that is separate from your production
data.
The application is very configurable. If you asked two drop zones how
this or that works, you may get very different answers because they could have
configured their businesses very differently. Most of the configuration is done
through a separate program. Access to the configuration program can be limited
to authorized personnel by using the built-in security features.
The security features in this version far out-reach what has been available
in previous versions. You can specify that a particular person can manifest but
not adjust prices, nor receive payments, nor sell counter items. You can even
determine who can run which reports. Then again, you can turn the entire
security feature off.
